Deceived

Ayel

I AM really sorry for my SoCCSKSarGen Blogger friends if I was not able to attend our scheduled meetup because something really unexpected happened.

A man who once came to our church for help last year returned this morning. He spoke in the pulpit and told us that he is paying back the church by donating musical instruments like a drum set, keyboard, guitars, and also chairs and several sacks of rice.

Sweet isn’t it? Until we realized it was deception.

Small Fish in a Huge Pond

Ayel

TOO MUCH work to do. Too little time.

(I actually bought a time-mangement book last week. I hope it could help me make the most of the 24 hours God gave me in a day.)

You can’t imagine what I’ve been through in the last few days that I haven’t even got the time to do what I can do all day on any given day — blogging. Arrgh. There was the stupid songwriting contest I joined. The result was not announced yet. But I’m not really hoping that the result would be positive noting the many twists they did with the contest mechanics. At least, I’ve made some people happy with my performance.

About two days ago, while on my bike home, I felt my heart stiffen and I found it really difficult to breathe. I knew I needed oxygen but I couldn’t breathe deeply. I had to stop a bit. I couldn’t cry for help because my co-teacher was already way ahead of me. He only noticed that I was no longer near him after a few minutes. He slowed down and waited for me. Thank God my strength was back after a while. I couldn’t believe I survived it.

Updates

Ayel

WHAT A creative title! (Harhar!) But that is exactly what this post is about. Let me tell you what I’m into these days.

THE BLOGGING SEMINAR. It’s still not very clear up to this day. Loreen and I are working hard for this in preparation for the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2, which will be held in GenSan on October 25. What is good is that we’ve now found a partner organization. However, our contact person is not as enthusiastic as we are about this project. He’s quite hesitant and pessimistic. But, of course, we won’t allow to be influenced. We will influence him, instead. There are plenty of problems like venue and availability of speakers. But we hope to settle things as soon as possible.

THE CHOIR COMPETITION. I attended our practice this afternoon. Yes, our church choir is joining a competition, which is part of my town’s (Alabel, Sarangani Province) 37th Foundation Anniversary, called Kasadyaan Festival.

Beijing2008: Michael Phelps establishes Olympic record for most number of gold medals won

Ayel

ISN’T HE just an amazing swimmer, Michael Phelps, winning a total of 16 Olympic medals? That is even more than what a country’s whole batch of athletes could bring home after an olympic event. Only very few people could earn success of such magnitude.

In the Beijing Olympics, he garnered eight gold medals, whoich earned him the record of most number of gold medals won. Here’s what I got from wikipedia about the events he won in Beijing:

Get Ready for My Six-Pack Abs

Ayel

I DON’T have that six-pack abs yet. But not for long.

No, I’m not hallucinating or what. I’m just being positive that my efforts will come into fruition after some time. Let me tell you about the activities I’m currently hooked into.

First is cycling. If you’ve been reading my blog, you might have known that I ride my mountain bike to school. To give you an idea how far I travel everyday, I took a picture of my route using Google Earth. Here it is:
