New Year Special: Become Rich in 2009!

Ayel

DOESN’T THAT sound encouraging? In these trying times, is it really possible to become rich?

It’s possible to be rich. But it isn’t that easy. You have to play your part before the door of financial opportunities will open up for you.

Last December, as I was scanning my cousin’s collection of books, one particular book caught my attention, it’s Deepak Chopra’s Creating Affluence. The book outlines that becoming wealthy starts with the right thought. It’s all in the mind. You have to believe that you are really getting rich. That is quite a pre-requisite.

Yearend Special: The Evolution of Homeward Bound

Ayel

THIS MIGHT sound like a copy cat post from Jehz, the Philippines’ blogging ans SEO guru. *wink* Just let me do so as it is the appropriate thing to do as the year ends…especially if you change theme as often as I did this year.

Let me continue…

Homeward Bound was born out of a prize I won in a blog writing contest more than a year ago. Thanks to Shari for paving the way to my owning and loving a self-hosted WordPress. In other words, I have only learned self-hosted blogging for that long. Although, I have been blogging (without earning) for over four years before I was introduced to a more “professional” blogging. Jehz, Winston, Aethen, Tanom, Richard, and BrVince were my “colleagues” then. Now, they all have soared the heights of the blogging industry. Well I have ascended, too, but only a bit.

Public Service: Legacy Investors (Visayas) in Trouble

Ayel

HOMEWARD BOUND is doing a bit of public service just before the year ends.

A certain Bitster, left a comment on my post about the Pre-Need Code of 2008. It was a lengthy comment and I realize that it is a legitimate issue. I am not updated with these stuff but it got my interest as I really hate it when some influential people take advantage of the ordinary ones.
Here is the comment, verbatim:

Elections 2010: Should We Automate?

Ayel

A WEEK or two ago, I wrote about We Deserve Forum Series, which had its first forum last November 25 that zeroed in on Elections and Automation in the Philippines. If only I were in Manila, I would have joined the forum.

The least I can do now is to promote the movement. Here’s the download link for the slide on election automation:

Automation of Elections: Ano Ba Talaga Ito?

Kuya Ralph of Ayala Young Leaders also informed the group of the links to Juana Change videos. I posted them on my vlog, Musika Central.

It's Pacquiao Holiday Tomorrow

Ayel

ONE OF my only two classmates in the graduate school told us this morning that we’ll probably not meet tomorrow because of the Pacquiao-dela Hoya Fight. Well, you know, it seems like the world stops when Manny Pacquiao step on the boxing ring. And it has always been like that.

The more will it be like that tomorrow as he faces the Golden Boy of boxing, Oscar dela Hoya. I’m sure, it will be one momentuous event in history. I am not really a boxing fan though I’ve tried it when I was kid, having lived beside a family of boxers. I have even worn the boxing gloves that Manny once used when he was still beginning his boxing career. No kidding. My cousins were Manny’s sparring mates then and they often trained near our house while we watched.
