SHE WAS very ecstatic when she received the message that she won a Toyota Avanza. Judging by the distance she went up in the air as she jumped, I could say that her adrenaline level shot up to stratospheric levels.
Several people started calling her. One was Leo Alcantara, who broke to her the news of her winning and discussed with her matters about how she was going to claim it. Another one was Rey Santos to whom she was to send the payment for the registration of the car and other papers. Lastly, there was Janice Reyes of the Philippine Information Center, confirming that my friend did win a Toyota Avanza.

WE’RE CLOSE. Sir Orman and I. Want proof? Kindly refer to the photo below.
If the red chair on my right is 1.5 ft (18 inches) in height, then we know that this picture (when clicked) has been scaled down to 6.56% of the actual size (life size) of the subjects. Then, the distance between Sir Orman and me, therefore, is 1.24 ft and that, I think, is close enough for me to conclude that we’re close.
Agree? Geometry agrees, so you, too, should.
So how did we become close? Let me share some significant encounters with Her Royal Gandaness.

WHILE ON our way home, my co-teacher and childhood friend, Sir Rolando, and I talked about some things we wanted to have back in grade school. He said he wanted a raincoat. Childhood memories then flooded my head.
So, I looked for the picture of the thing I wanted to have. I am sure you have seen one before. I liked it because of its many features. It comes with a combination of the following: a sharpener, magnifying lens, thermometer, compass, mini calculator, and it also has plenty of compartments for other things you want to keep like NBA cards and stickers or cards showing your favorite animé characters.

YES I am and, I bet, so are you. In fact, everyone is.
I know you are going to deny it and you are going to say you are emotionally mature, but I believe that each one of us has, at one point in our lives, tried to catch someone or some people’s attention.
In my case, I do it all the time. I couldn’t just teach without getting my student’s attention. There is a circulating text joke about teachers being persons who could go on talking even if nobody listens. I can’t do that. Why would I waste my energy by doing that?

I USED to know her as the Queen of Mean. But after meeting her Tuesday night, I have affirmed that she really isn’t mean. In fact, she is among the nicest girls to spend an evening with.
I have known Cors online, about three years ago. She once commented on a blog post in my old blog. She used to blog, too. Exchange of comments ensued and we’ve become friends in different social networks.

ARE YOU overly dramatic? Do you believe that your relationship with someone you love is more intimate that it really is? That could be a mental health disorder!

I found this information from The Composed Gentleman’s blog. Such a disorder is called Histrionic Personality Disorder. It is characterized by the following symptoms:
- Acting or looking overly seductive – Not guilty. Whatever I do, I could never be seductive. Haha.
- Being easily influenced by other people – Not guilty. I’m hardheaded and I usually take the path less taken.

I BROWSED the files from my old cellphone’s memory card the other night and had great fun reminiscing memories that each photo brings back. It’s a wonder how happy memories make you teary-eyed, while sad ones elicit a smile.
I had a good laugh after realizing what these three pictures have in common:

Same Face
Sir Nerpy is very like Kaiser and vice versa. They are alike in many ways that students can’t help but notice. Looking and dressing alike is one amusing fact. Kaiser’s impersonation of Sir Nerpy is icing on the cake. Seeing them together in almost the same shirt color and wearing a mailman’s bag in a similar fashion is worth taking a pic.
