I'm Not Going to Subic Anymore

Ayel

MY LEVEL of excitement plumetted when my principal told me that I have to spend my own money for my trip to Subic next week.

While in Zamboanga, my principal decided to bring me to Subic since three research projects from our school qualified to the Intel Philippines Science Fair.

When we reported to school last Tuesday, the clerk told me that they bought a round trip ticket for me but I have to pay for it in the meantime and I will be refunded by March.

Although I have received my bonus, I don’t think it’s a good idea to spend it for that travel, noting that my trip to Dumaguete last summer has not been refunded yet. Moreover, it still wouldn’t be enough. I don’t want to ask for cash advance for the purpose of that trip, where my role is very minimal.

So I decided not to go. The clerk had to cancel the ticket.

Anyway, I have plenty of responsibilities here. There are lessons that I have missed since I have always been out in the last few weeks. I wouldn’t have another chance to make up for missed lessons since we’ll administer the fourth quarter exam during the first week of March.

Nevertheless, I’m still sad about not going to Subic anymore.
