A Grave Mistake

Ayel

IF YOU were to promote a nutrition campaign would you consider commisioning Angelica Jones and Megastar impersonator Ate Shawie?

Angelica Jones Promoting Good Nutrition

INREDIBLE. Angelica Jones Promoting Good Nutrition to students in Alabel, Sarangani Province

In fairness to these two personalities, they are good at their craft — making people laugh. However, I think that the National Nutrition Council made a grave mistake, choosing these two to promote the Accelerated Hunger Mitigation Program.

This is not an attack on the two personalities but a criticism on the manner of entertaining the students who were asked to attend the program.

Live Blogging from Genee

Ayel

THIS IS a first for SoCCSKSarGen.

Although we have already meet in some place before, this is the forst time that we gathered purposely to review a restaurant. And we are planning to do it more often in the future.

Well, this is not the review yet. I just want to let you know that we are having fun here. We enjoyed the food. And most of all, we are enjoying the conversations with each other.

Here’s a pic from Kyawster:

Managing Depression

Ayel

I HAD a very heavy heart when I arrived home yesterday. I couldn’t think of anything to ease my tension. Comfort food hadn’t been much of a help.

I was lying on my bed, ready to sleep through it all, when I thought of creating another vector art. Here it is:

The result, I woke up early and was not late for school. I also feel better today than I did yesterday. Read about how I created this vector art on Digital Detours.

I Seriously Need a Break

Ayel

I’M SO damn tired. (sigh)

No, don’t get me wrong. I’m so happy with teaching. I love the discovery each and every day. What consumes most of my energy are the other tasks assigned to me.

Don’t get me wrong again. I enjoy doing other tasks, too — if and only if I know the objectives of such activities. Sometimes I don’t understand what output I should deliver.

Small World

Ayel

ISN’T DAVAO City the largest in the Philippines?

According to Wikipedia, it is indeed the largest city in the country with a total land area of 2,444 square kilometers.

Contrary to this fact, my trip to Davao last Saturday just disproved that. Not that I measured the land area, but it felt like the city is just so small.

Leann, a college friend, and I went to Davao last Friday to follow-up our yearbook. It was a very long overdue. I doubt if the people at the printing press ever touched it since we last checked it a semester ago.
