GEESH, OUR First Grand Alumni Homecoming is now at the doorstep!
Our school turned 12 this year and we are about to send off our tenth batch of graduates this march. Before this year ends, we are going to establish the school’s Alumni Association. That happens on the 26th.
But even as of now, we’ve got problems with financial and other resources. But we’re thinking very positively that everything will be provided.
Yesterday, I stayed in GenSan to collect the contributions of my batchmates. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way as we do about helping the school and forming a community of alumni. Still, I’m very thankful to everyone who answered the call.
Let me tell about how forgetful I have become these days.
Roulfe came to school to get claim his documents. He’s leaving for UK sometime soon. He also shouldered the remaining balance of our batch quota. We went to GenSan together. While on the jeep, I was searched by pockets and my bag for my wallet. And you guessed it right, it was nowhere to be found. So, Roulfe had to pay for my fare. I texted Eljay to check if I left it at the computer room. And you are right again, it was there. Haha. I arranged later for Eljay, who also went to the city that afternoon to bring it for me but I had to buy it with a meal at Jolibee.
I went to see Carlo in the hospital where he’s working as a nurse and he gave more than the agreed individual contribution. When I was about to leave, he gave me 100 peso bill to refund my fare, a very nice gesture.
I met with Ray at KCC. The mall almost collapsed* with the number of people in there. Geesh, I forgot that it’s Manny Pacquiao’s birthday party. I waited at the third floor, near the KCC Convention Center and I saw Freddie Roach, then the unbeatable Dionisia Pacquiao in a rose-colored debutante’s dress. Ray also gave more than the required contribution.
This morning I went to see Claire’s sister. Claire is in Cebu so it was her sister who handed my her contribution. She also gave more than what was needed.
I’ve started the walk down memory lane and I’m gonna meet some of my friends at the crossroad on the 26th. If you’re one of them, see you there! And oh, check out our web site.
