Avoiding Conflicts with Co-Workers

NO, I am not currently in conflict with anyone at work and I hope it will be like that for the rest of my stay here. I’d just like to write now about how I was able to avoid conflicts with my co-teachers in my first year of teaching. Here are the five thoughts I always keep in my mind: 1. Know...

YEAH, WE are cramming, too, just to comply with the requirements. You have to prepare a TOS based on your lesson plan and translate that into questions. Then you encode your questions, print it, and have it reproduced. Sounds easy but it squeezes life out of me. (Not really. Haha.) It’s just that I have to devise tricky questions for my smart students. You know, they’re not your ordinary students. It’s not an easy job, really.

But maybe, I’m just saying this because I’m still new to this setup. Once I have made my own test bank I expect that it would be a lot easier like it is now for my fellow teachers here.

Support Laarni on Pinoy Dream Academy

THE LAST gala performance night had been very unfair on the part of Laarni, who hails from nearby Sultan Kudarat. She should not have been under probation because she did a lot better than the other scholars inside the academy.

Here are the reasons why I think it was very unfair for Laarni:

First, the song choice was biased in favor of Liezel. Liezel was made to sing the Beyonce hit, Listen, which is perfect for her because of the association that people are inclined to make between the two. Laarni, on the other hand, was made to sing an April Boy Regino classic, Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin, with a very difficult vocal arrangement.

A WISE man once said that every person should maintain at least 3 kinds of FRIENDSHIP:

1. Friends of your own age whom you can talk over your problems, plans and goals with confidence.

2. Friends older than you to whom you can confide and be assured of wise counsel.

3. Friends younger than you whom you can share your life’s experiences.

THE TAG:

I’m tagging, Aethen, Loreen, Mark, Juler, and Richard, my friends of my own age; Sir Avel, and Sir Hecky, friends who are older than me; and Joanna and Cathy, who are younger than me.

I JUST returned from our training course as troop leaders in Pulabato, Tampakan, South Cotabato. It was really a great experience. I had so much fun. I’ll tell you more about it soon.

I’m sorry for those who sent me SMS messages from August 1 to 2, there was no signal up there in Barangay Pulabato. I think it would be just like my experience when I went to Kiangkos for three days last January – I didn’t receive all the messages sent in the first two days of the trek.

Have a happy day, everyone! I’ll have some rest first.
