Get Ready for My Six-Pack Abs
I DON’T have that six-pack abs yet. But not for long.
No, I’m not hallucinating or what. I’m just being positive that my efforts will come into fruition after some time. Let me tell you about the activities I’m currently hooked into.
First is cycling. If you’ve been reading my blog, you might have known that I ride my mountain bike to school. To give you an idea how far I travel everyday, I took a picture of my route using Google Earth. Here it is:
The highlighted area is the 24-hectare Sarangani Provincial Capitol Complex. I pass the capitol building everyday to get to our campus. Our sidegate opens into the capitol complex.
After over a month of cycling, my friends have already noticed that I’ve already lost some weight. On my new year post last January, I wrote that one of my goals this year is to trim down some fat and I am doing it now. I also found that aside from legs, my abdominal muscles are also getting firmer. That is an inch closer to developing a six-pack abs.
Second is badminton. In the evening, my co-teachers and I meet at the municipal grounds to play badminton. I used to a badminton player; I’ve joined our provincial meet when I was still in grade school, so I loved the idea. We also do aerobics as warm-up activity. We are doing this to help one of my co-teachers who was advised by her doctor to lose 15 kg in one month because of the condition of her heart. In the process, we are also helping ourselves. During the first few nights, there were only four of us. But last night, other have also decided to join us, including some students.
Third is balanced diet. I don’t eat more than a cup of rice now. I’ve also cut soft drinks from my diet. I still drink coffee, though. But with less sugar. I also drink two glasses of milk every day. But I always see to it that I don’t drink it next to coffee or else I would benefit from the calcium found in milk.
Actually, I didn’t expect I would be serious about this. It started as an absurd idea and now we’re determined to get it going. Maybe, I would creating a new blog about living a healthy lifestyle. Haha.
Have a great day!

cycling is a good part of your health plans. you see, most Japanese I know eat a lot during meals, add to it the variety of foods they prepare.. yet they make tea as their everyday fluid, plus ample times for sports and recreation. and yes, we cycle here everyday.
