OUT OF curiosity, I typed on the address bar, the url http://mail.ariellalisan.org. I was surprised that this webpage turned up:

I sent him a message and I’m currently waiting for his reply. I’ve been so clueless about this until I checked just now.

I dunno how this happened. I am sure I didn’t give this subdomain to anybody and I don’t think that anyone can just used it without permission.

I will be checking my cpanel to see if it?takes a portion of my disk space or if it steals my bandwidth.

WE LANDED on the third spot in the Quiz Bowl!

Congratulations to Riemann, Eleah, Jasper, Trisha, and Bryan for again lifting our school’s banner after competing with 17 other high schools in SoCSKSarGen and garnering the third prize.

With just a few points ahead of us, Mindanao State University-CETD and Notre Dame of Dadiangas University-IBED ranked first and second, respectively.

Mindanao Polytechnic College had been very generous for giving away a consolation prize worth one thousand pesos to all the participating schools and Php8,000 for the champion and Php6,000 for the first runner-up. We went home with Php4,000.

BECAUSE I love music, I recently started a blog called Musika Central.

Musika Central contains bits of info about the Philippine Music Scene that interest me. Foreign music will also be featured because, whether we like it or not, it has a big influence in the local music industry and it sometimes tells us what is good music and what is not.

It is also an attempt to feature local gigs to show that in Mindanao music is very alive–we also know the sound of music, not just of bombs and gunshots. Kidding. I have not actually witnessed bombings and crossfires here, I swear.

I AM currently helping my students review for the quiz bowl on Wednesday at the Mindanao Polytechnic College, General Santos City.

They will be competing with other students from other schools in SocCSKSarGen in answering questions in the following fields: English, Science, Mathematics, and ICT.

I?ask them to browse the net and answer online quizzes and to read new information on the subjects mentioned above, especially in ICT.

The best thing I could give them now is to encourage them to keep a positive mind to enjoy the expereince. I trust my students that they will?bring home the bacon.

EIGHT YEARS after sending off its first graduates, Alabel National Science High School, the Regional Science High School for Region XII currently builds its network of alumni and alumnae to set the stage for the organization of its alumni association.

Jemielyn Catulong of the pioneering batch (SY 1999-2000) will be sending letters to officers of each batch of graduates for the planning conference regarding the first alumni homecoming, which is hoped to be held in time for the school’s 10th Commencement Exercises.

Meanwhile, an e-group has been created to serve as a point of convergence for the alumni.
