Winning Third Place and Having a Good Time With My Students
WE LANDED on the third spot in the Quiz Bowl!
Congratulations to Riemann, Eleah, Jasper, Trisha, and Bryan for again lifting our school’s banner after competing with 17 other high schools in SoCSKSarGen and garnering the third prize.
With just a few points ahead of us, Mindanao State University-CETD and Notre Dame of Dadiangas University-IBED ranked first and second, respectively.
Mindanao Polytechnic College had been very generous for giving away a consolation prize worth one thousand pesos to all the participating schools and Php8,000 for the champion and Php6,000 for the first runner-up. We went home with Php4,000.
After the awarding, Riemann’s dad happened to pass by the venue and he gave us a lift to one of the malls here. We enjoyed a scrumptious lunch at Port Caf?nd had a juicy conversation after. It was one of the my life’s most blissful moments–feeling very young again. In fact, I think I had let loose the kid in me.
As we spent time at the mall, I met some of my classmates in high school. It’s really a small world here. It also happened some time ago, when we had a sort of an unplanned reunion because a few of my classmates were coming in one by one unexpectedly.
This is definitely one of the best days of my life.
