Misfed By Feedburner and Other Techie Flops

WHAT’S WRONG with my Feedburner?

I checked out my feeds on Feedburner and was annoyed with what I saw:

Feed

Feedburner displays my feed in its XML format. So how can I encourage readers to subscribe to my feeds with that?

Another thing is the sudden occurrences of misplaced extra questions marks all over my feeds and sometimes within my posts. Could all these be consequences of upgrading to WP 2.3.3?

Googling the answers to these questions is my only hope but so far I haven’t found clear answers.

Two days ago, my lectured was spoiled because the electrical outlets at the Physics Lab were all burnt. I asked Manong Jun, our electrician, to fix it or to just provide me with an extension wire because I will have my lecture inside the lab. But he wasn’t able to do it for me. To add insult to injury, the digital projector failed. I was forced to return to the trusty chalk and blackboard system.

Last night, my cousin, who is also my student borrowed my one-month-old flash disk. When I checked it with him this afternoon, I found out that it wasn’t working anymore. I dunno what happened to it. Some of my files were still there including the new banner I designed for this blog.

I’m quite sick of technical problems, especially in these times when I’m feeling not quite well.

Bomb blast fails to spoil Kalilangan Festivities

A BOMB blast rocked the crowd of people celebrating the culminating activities of Kalilangan Festival, GenSan’s 69th Foundation Anniversary  of at the Oval Plaza, General Santos City, 10:45 last night, Feb 27, 2008, leaving one dead and six injured.

The only fatality was reportedly the suspected bomber.

He was identified by the local authorities as Glenn Octaviano, 27, a resident of nearby city, Koronadal.

The other six injured were Mario Abasilan, Arnel Tinaco, Noel Navarro, Randy Cuevas, Benjie Querin, and Melvin Saranillo.

After the explosion, the festivities continued.

It is a question how the bomber was able to pass through the tight security in the vicinity.

A co-teacher says that everyone who enters the Oval Plaza was frisked by City Security Officers.

The Kalilangan bombing is the second to have occured in GenSan in the first quarter of this year; the other being the blast at the PhilBest Canning Site on January 30, which left 4 people dead.

Although investigations still continue, extorsion is a likely motive of both events that authorities are looking into.

I WAS not suprised when I signed in to my MyBlogLog account and found this:

That is because of his post that contains a part of the result of the December 2007 Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) or the Nursing Board Exam.

Jehzeel Laurente of http://www.jehzlau-concepts.com is probably the Philippine’s best in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). My First Prom

IT IS during the prom night that girls become ladies and boys, gentlemen. So far, I have five times the excitement; I had two proms in high school, and two in college. The last one I attended took place last night, where I was as excited as the students because it’s my first prom—this time, as a teacher.

The program was to start at six o’clock. At three o’clock in the afternoon, I was ready. Because I don’t have my own vehicle, I waited for my students who promised to pick me up. I couldn’t text them and they couldn’t text me, too, because my phone is broken. Then it was four thirty, but no one came. But another student, actually my niece, told me that they are going with their classmate who has a car and there would be some space left for me. It was almost six o’clock but one of them was still dressing up.

I couldn’t be late because I would be reading the names of the pairs during their grand entrance. So I ended up riding a motorcycle, which took me to the venue about 18-km away in less than 10 minutes.

I wore a black Chinese-inspired suit, which made the students bow before me and call me Master Kung, after a character in ABS-CBN’s Kung Fu Kids.

In the whole duration of the event, I was assisting Ms. Marge, one of the two advisers of the Juniors because Ms. Annabel was not able to come.

It was another beautiful experience for me. It’s different when you are a teacher; I didn’t have to be anxious or tense because I would be reading the batch history or because I would be dancing in the cotillion. Those were fears that the students would face up to. Mine and the class advisers’ was the program’s to be successful.

I know the feeling of a junior or a senior on a night like last night. I wanted the students to make the most of the event because it was their night. We were not there to spoil the fun but to keep watch of the students’ behaviors, to ensure their safety, and to make sure that the prom would be remembered as one of their best memories of their high school life.
