Alsci champs in 2007 Reg’l Intel Sci-Fair

ALL THREE entries of Alabel National Science High School bagged the championship in the recently concluded 2007 Regional Intel Philippines Science Fair.

In the Life Sciences category Robert Ramos’ study on the removal and recovery of Copper ions?from wastewater got the first place in the individual contest while Charles Fermin Galarrita, Eula Grace?Abella, and Liezel Anne Decripito’s study on the?antimicrobial, and antiurolithiatic property of Nut Grass tuber extract?bagged the first place in the team competition.

Lianne Mae Homez, Myreal Gold Obogon, and Eilaine Jean Tolentino’s research on Astaxanthin from Tiger Shrimp exoskeleton also got the first place in the Applied Sciences team?category.

Other winners were researches from Quantum Academy, Inc. of General Santos City and Koronadal National Comprehensive High School?of Koronadal City.

Dexter Necor, the?coach of the three teams?of ANSHS was also?chosen as Best Adviser together with Pelmar Fernandez of Quantum Academy.

i think just last year, antipolo national high snatched the 1st place in the individual category, ewan ko kung life science o something. basta. national un. :)
