Rhinoplasty 101
My friends in college, especially my friends at Pathways?would always?make fun of my a bit larger-than-life nose. Haha. But I am happy with it. I am not going to be me if I had a different nose. If God were to give me a better looking nose, I’m afraid, more people will get depressed at how unfair life is.?A nose like Brad Pitt’s, I guess, is too much to ask.
However, I believe that there are many Filipinos out there who want their breath-holes. So I’d like to share with you what you need to know about having you nose operated on.?I have found out on?Washington DC rhinoplasty?that the process of rhinoplasty is not that long and painful. In fact, the actual operation last for just about 2 and a half hours!
With the technology available today, you can already have a glimpse of?the expected outcome of the procedure. An advanced digital imaging software can it to you.? So, if you fear that you would look ugly after the operation, you have a choice to back out or suggest to the doctor how you would want your nose done. However, of course,?given that it’s only a computer generated image, you would not look absolutely like what would produced using the software.
After, the surgery, you may have bruising on the area around your nose but that depends on the extent of the surgery and how well you obey what the doctor tells you to do after the procedure.? Bruising also varies from person to person. (It is usually associated with bone work, the site reports.)? There are also products you can use after the surgery. Swelling is a normal consequence of the operation.
After reading this, I don’t think you would still be afraid of the scalpel.
